Mobile States has a particular interest in those artists whose practice is concerned with experimentation, research and the investigation of ideas and form. It is interested in innovative works created by small scale or project based companies. Small to medium scale works will be considered (up to a touring team of ten). Solo shows will also be considered, however, they are less of a priority given the paucity of touring opportunities for larger scale works.

To be eligible for consideration, the productions must be new Australian works, which meet a set of curatorial criteria spanning both artistic and practical factors. The productions chosen will:

	Employ multiple languages – eg. physical performance, projection, spoken word and contemporary music/sound;
	Be conceptually and formally ambitious;
	Contribute to current cultural and/or artform developments;
	Be dramaturgically coherent;
	Have attracted positive critique in press and by peers.

The Presenter members’ Directors constitute the Curatorium responsible for Mobile States programming.
