All About Evonne

We are calling for donations to support the world premiere of Sunshine Super Girl – the Evonne Goolagong Story on Wiradjuri Country in October 2020.

Covid-19 has left arts entities fighting for their survival, and amongst these, one of Sunshine Super Girl’s major investors who has had to reluctantly withdraw their investment in the work.
Three years in the making this independent First Nations work is in jeopardy.

We need to raise $50,000 to support the creation, rehearsal and premiere of this important new Australian work.

More than a rags-to-riches tale, Goolagong’s heart-warming story is a celebration of spirit and passion over privilege and racism; and a tribute to a great Wiradjuri woman who inspired a nation and offers hope and possibility to thousands of young girls across the country.

Just like Evonne and her story, if you are also committed to inspiring First Nations talent, spirit and storytelling, please help us by making a contribution towards this project.
