We are currently halfway through a two-week development of Andrea James’ brand new (and v exciting) development of Sunshine Super Girl – the Evonne Goolagong Story.
The work draws on the extraordinary life of Evonne Goolagong, a Wiradjuri woman and household name in Australia after she became just the second Australian to win the Wimbledon Grand Slam. This year, she received Australia’s highest honour – appointed as a Companion of the Order of Australia – and remains number 12 on the list of all-time greatest tennis players, sharing the position with Venus Williams.
Sunshine Super Girl is a physical theatre work being developed by Andrea James, with movement by Vicki van Hout and sound by Gail Priest.
