Behind the scenes at Saint George rehearsals

Check out a selection of lovely shots captured last week during rehearsals for Paul Mac and Lachlan Philpott’s The Rise and Fall of Saint George.

Charting the 2017 marriage equality campaign and subsequent attacks on a prominent Inner West mural, the show features soloists including Ngaiire, Brendan Maclean, Marcus Whale, Andrew Bukenya and Opera Australia’s Jacqui Dark. Not pictured here are soloists Joyride and HANDSOME.

They join the remarkable local choir Inner West Voices, led by total champion Emily Irvine.

For anyone with a ticket to the sneak-peek work-in-progress concert on Thurs 28 Feb…we think you’re in for a treat. For everyone else, we’ll keep you posted with progress of the project and your next chance to see it.
