Performing arts producers from Korea, Japan, Taiwan Australia Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Indonesia and New Zealand join together in Melbourne for APPCAMP Australia in 2017, following CAMPs in Korea (2014), Taiwan (2015) and Japan (2016).

Managed in Australia by representatives at Performing Lines and Live Performance Australia, the first initiative from the Asian Producers Platform (APP), a long-term public/private partnership between Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Australia, APPCAMP offers participants opportunities to:

  • develop industry networks in key Asian countries
  • explore producing as an international creative practice
  • develop an Inter-cultural practice
  • develop as arts leaders

APPCAMP aims to deliver a strongly linked network of Asian producers who can work effectively across the region, sharing and developing artistic works, skills and cultural practices. Over the course of the CAMP, producers meet key cultural leaders in each country, including artists and arts organisations, and take part in self-generated research projects to gain a close understanding of each country's cultural landscape.
