Fiona McIntosh | Development
Fiona completed an MA in Arts Administration at UNSW and subsequently worked in funded visual arts organisations, predominately in exhibition and exhibition touring management, with contemporary art. She worked with the Biennale of Sydney, the Australian Exhibitions Touring Agency Regional Galleries Assoc of NSW and then moved to the Art Gallery of NSW as an Exhibitions Manager.
In 2004, she set up Fiona McIntosh Art Consulting and has been working with corporates and private individuals to buy artworks of quality that reflect their interests and budget, and to manage and reconcile their collections. Fiona has also consulted to arts organisations on policies, events and development. She writes a blog about contemporary art and artists.
Fiona is a member of the AGNSW Contemporary Collection Benefactors Programme, being on the Committee for about 8 years and chairing it for 3 years. She has also worked with the UNSW Art + Design Development team, including a focus on securing private support for the art school’s Indigenous program. Her work in philanthropy and benefaction has also led to her current study with QUT’s Australian Centre for Philanthropy & Non-Profit Studies.
