Performing Lines is excited to announce a brand new opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island artists making contemporary theatre and dance work - the Blak Lines New Work Platform.

Presented in association with YIRRAMBOI First Nations Arts Festival in Melbourne in May 2017, this unique forum will feature Indigenous artists discussing their new work alongside some of the country's renowned Aboriginal performing arts companies. Producers and Presenters from around Australia will be invited to attend.

We are accepting Expressions of Interest to pitch either: a new concept; a work-in-development; or a presentation-ready work. Artists who are chosen to pitch will receive:

  • A return airfare to Melbourne;
  • Up to three nights accommodation;
  • A fee to support their pitch; and
  • Advice and support from Performing Lines to prepare their pitch and show materials

ARTISTS - this is your chance to submit an Expression of Interest. Applications have just opened and the process is really simple. Click here for more information>>
APPLICATIONS CLOSE MONDAY 30 JANUARY.

PRESENTERS & PRODUCERS - invitations to attend will be sent in early 2017.
