BLAK LINES | Apply to pitch at the New Work Platform
Performing Lines is offering 12 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island contemporary dance, theatre or performance artists airfares, accommodation and a pitch fee to participate in the Blak Lines New Work Platform as part of YIRRAMBOI First Nations Arts Festival. Meet industry peers and have the opportunity to talk about your concept, work in development, or finished production with producers and presenters from around Australia. JULIE’S BICYCLE | Creative Climate Leadership training
This five-day intensive course will run from 27 – 31 March 2017 in Wales and will be facilitated by Julie’s Bicycle, a UK charity. The course will enable artists and cultural professionals to explore the cultural dimensions of climate change. There are five free places and travel grants available for freelance (self-employed) applicants. Applications due Monday 16th January 2017. More info>>

REGIONAL ARTS VICTORIA | Australian Children’s Theatre Foundation 2017 Commission
Regional Arts Victoria's Arts & Education team and the Australian Children’s Theatre Commission have announced the Australian Children’s Theatre Foundation’s next commission. Expressions of Interest are now open and must be for a work for primary aged children, be tourable and adhere to the ACTF’s Guidelines. The successful artist(s) will tour their new work with RAV's Arts & Education Program in 2018. Applications close 5pm Monday 30 January 2017. More info>>

CARNIVAL OF FLOWERS | Playwriting Competition
Aspiring and experienced Australian playwrights are invited to submit unpublished and unperformed play scripts to the annual Carnival of Flowers Toowoomba Repertory Theatre Play Writing Competition. The two winning plays will be workshopped over a weekend in June and will enjoy a performance season during the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers in September 2017. Submissions close 31 January 2017. More info>>

AUSTRALIA COUNCIL | Career Development Grants for Individuals
If you are an individual artist, arts worker or group of artists, a Career Development Grant can provide support to further develop your skills or improve your capacity to build an enduring career in the arts. Career Development grants are available from $5,000 to $25,000. These grants can support a broad range of activities such as skills and professional development, mentorships, showcases, residencies and other projects directly related to your career development. AUSTRALIA COUNCIL | Arts Projects for Individuals, Groups & Organisations
The arts projects program funds a range of activities that deliver benefits to the arts sector and wider public, including national and international audiences. Examples of activities this grant supports include the creation of new work, creative development, touring, festivals, productions, exhibitions, publishing, recording and market development activity. Applications close Tuesday 7 Feb. More info>>

ARTS NSW | NSW Young Regional Artist Scholarship – $10,000
The NSW State Government is offering 15 professional development scholarships to artists and performers from all art forms, including dance, theatre, Aboriginal arts, literature, music and more. Scholarships are worth $10,000 and include a professional development networking program which takes place in Sydney in late 2017. Applications are now open and close Monday 20 FebMore info>>

Melbourne-based artists and companies can apply for project funding from 2 February, with applications closing on Thursday 23 Feb. More info>>

IETM is a network of over 500 performing arts organisations and individual members working in the contemporary performing arts worldwide: theatre, dance, circus, interdisciplinary live art forms, new media. You can apply to attend their Bucharest Plenary Meeting from 20 April 2017 to 23 April 2017. You may also be eligible to apply for travel support.
