Golden Hour
Ella HetheringtonGolden Hour is a sonic/visual meditation set to a series of theatrical, choreographic images that unfold to create an evocative and celebratory archive of the universal experience of impermanence. It explores inevitability, patterns of human existence, perceptions of time, memories of place and the love left behind at the end.
Two performers – Ella-Rose Trew and Jacob Lehrer – create dynamic images of life and inevitability, framed within a transformative and physics-defying structure of the home, designed by Bruce McKinven. Tilman Robinson’s score provides a textural musical backdrop, an electro-acoustic sound both dark and brooding, integrating sonic design with onstage intimacies.

Information for Presenters
During its 2022 creative development at European Foods Warehouse, the team trialed movement material upon a set prototype, exploring performance modality, projection mapping and the integration/responsiveness of sound. Performing Lines WA is excited about the interdisciplinary making of this resonant, sensory work and its potential staging opportunities, as we work with Ella and the team to plan the project’s further development toward production and presentation.
