My First And Last Solo Show

Natalie Rose

The first solo work presented by acclaimed Western Sydney theatre maker Natalie Rose, Creative Director of Shopfront Arts Co-op and founding member of POST performance collective.

My First And Last Solo Show is a show made by a mother, through collaboration with a series of female artists and industry mentors (Victoria Spence, Jodee Mundy, Clare Britton, Victoria Hunt, Emma Saunders, and more) who also happen to be mothers. It looks back on Rose’s career and legacy and carefully handles vulnerable stories about artistry in the context of motherhood, the challenges it poses, and the cultural and political landscape the artist-mother must navigate in order to “have it all”.
