Siti Rubiyah

In 1975 Mochtar Lubis wrote his best seller Harimau! Harimau! (Tiger! Tiger!) in which a vulnerable young character Siti Rubiyah, is abandoned to a horrifying fate alone in the middle of the Sumatran jungle.

This new work by Katrina Irawati Graham travels back to the jungle to imagine what might have happened next.  Developed through the Lotus Playwriting Project, an initiative of CAAP and Playwriting Australia supported by the Girgensohn Foundation, the work is part of the Carriageworks 2018 In Development Program.
