Agents of Change launch

Last week, we brought together a group of friends, colleagues, partners and allies to launch our new Agents of Change program.

Agents of Change is about matching the ambitions of our artists with contributions from private donors to support the creation of original, urgent new works.

Every dollar raised between now and May 2019 will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Creative Partnerships Australia, meaning your donation has double the impact.

I think Performing Lines has always joined in a kind of pact with the artists we work with: an agreement to shake up the status quo – to create a disruptive but meaningful connection with audiences as citizens and cultural participants.

We aim to give expression to our concerns, our hopes, the messes of our own making, and present us all with an ongoing sense of ourselves. Marion Potts, Exectuive Producer

Good art shows us who we are. But really good art shows us who we might be, for better and for worse.

It asks questions, reminds us that we make choices, implicates us and holds us accountable for the kind of world we live in. Marion Potts, Executive Producer

Performing Lines acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we work – the Gadigal in Sydney, the Whadjuk in Perth, and the Muwinina in Hobart – and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

We extend those respects to all First Nations peoples on whose lands we travel and perform.
